factory, but not with that red. Looks like the owner or dealership had them powder coated.

Red mirror caps would really tie it all together. I always liked oem+ modding and that gti looks great.

They are factory design, but have been painted or recolored in some way.

Some dealerships will do things like this though. I remember hearing about people getting color-keyed Motorsport wheels from dealerships, even VW only makes them in normal shades.
